How do you feel today?

Reflecting on how you feel is incredibly important for your overall well-being and mental health. Taking the time to understand and process your emotions can help you identify and address any underlying issues or challenges that may be affecting your mental state. I personally use these two apps to reflect how I feel & it just takes a few seconds to capture: 1] Zepp Life Every morning I wake up & it shows data on how yesternight's sleep was and asks me how I feel now. In the first image I get option to reflect and others are my yesternight's sleep data

2] Microsoft Teams : The second thing I do is reflecting my emotions before the start of the work day & end of the day using viva-insights Microsoft Learn for Viva Insights

Reflecting on your emotions can also help you better understand your own thought patterns and behaviors. It can help you recognize triggers that cause certain emotions and help you develop coping mechanisms to manage them. This can lead to greater self-awareness, which can be a powerful tool for personal growth and development. Furthermore, reflecting on how you feel can help you communicate better with others. By understanding and articulating your emotions, you can express yourself more effectively and create deeper connections with those around you. Viva Insights is a product developed by Microsoft that provides analytics and insights to help individuals and organizations improve their work habits and productivity. Devils Circuit 2023

This year I participated in Devils Circuit 2023 a  Rockstar of Running Events; it is Asia’s biggest Obstacle Race and the only running event in India to boast a community of over two million runners!

I resonated with their goal “We Help Each Other Become the Best Version of Ourselves.”

Challenges Call for Creativity, Challenges Make You Stronger, Challenges Keep You Humble, and Challenges Amplify Your Achievements!

I went for Non-Competitive Category, Same course, and same obstacles, but no timing chip. Finish the run and the obstacles at your own pace and gauge our own fitness level so that next time we can come back fitter, stronger, and ready to conquer it all!

Here, the five-kilometer track (quite overwhelming for first-timers) is embedded with 15 crazy, fun, and challenging obstacles of varying difficulty levels. Once on it, you push yourself to draw strength not just from your core or muscles, but from your gut. All puns are intended.

You reach an organic high by the time you’ve reached the fifth obstacle, and something within you—that you didn’t know existed—pushes you to conquer the Finish Line! You end the race feeling drunk with euphoria and bursting with adrenaline. The 15th obstacle always takes the cake, but you’ll have to be there to witness its impact.

It looks easy as this is the first hurdle but when you climb up you can feel the fear of height. I easily went from one side while going to another side I was really afraid. You can't go back and you have to take yourself to another side.

As the name says it is hell, going up is easy moving in between parts is very tough, and coming down is even tougher.

Summit was 14 feet and you can not complete it without other's help

This was the first time when I realized I can not climb a simple rope!
Completely muddy and difficult. I completed half and wanted to give up but I could not go back. I just kept on moving and I finished!
This was the last obstacle. The ice was freezing at -2.5 degrees celsius. Tons of ice and when I jumped into my body froze for a few seconds.

I tried to complete this twice and failed. Moved on to the next. I dared to dream!

Grab & go was really difficult. Failed thrice and moved to the next one!
It takes strong hands and an even stronger mind. Finished it on the first attempt!

I found my shoes were not fitting into the nest. Maybe I need to practice more to get out of jail. In my mind, I already broke the jail of evil!
My stomach was aching for 5 days after I finished this!
A strong will to finish made me complete this
If you learn to balance yourself you can balance everything around you!
Not all swings are easy and fun!
I needed just a Push to finish this!

Continuous learning

The process of consistently obtaining new knowledge, skills, and expertise throughout one's life, even after formal education has ended, is known as continuous learning. It entails consistently searching out novel experiences and knowledge to advance one's professional and personal development.

There are several ways to engage in continuous learning, including visiting conferences, taking courses, reading books and articles, taking part in online chats and webinars, networking with other professionals, and participating in hands-on activities. In order to pinpoint areas that need work and to consistently advance one's abilities and knowledge, it may also entail asking for feedback and doing some self-reflection.

In the competitive and quickly changing employment market of today, continuous learning is becoming more and more crucial. It fosters personal development while assisting people in being current, adaptive, and competitive in their particular areas.

Following are some typical forms of possibilities for continuous learning:

  • Conferences for research Certification programs
  • Workshops for professional development
  • mentoring initiatives
  • visiting speakers
  • weekly presentations for training

12 advantages of ongoing education at work
These are 12 advantages of ongoing education at work:

1. New Abilities
Engaging in a program of continuous learning can assist you in acquiring new hard and soft skills that will benefit your career. Hard skills are the technical prowess necessary for a particular career or industry, such as manufacturing, medical recording, or programming. Soft skills are interpersonal abilities, such as communication, problem-solving, and analytical thinking, that are applicable to many different professions.

Programs for continuous learning may concentrate on a single crucial skill or on a combination of hard and soft abilities. A conference on healthcare practices, for instance, might feature panels on developing leadership abilities and certain processes.

2. Greater confidence
You can increase your confidence in your talents by picking up new skills and broadening your knowledge of the sector. Certain lifelong learning opportunities, including leadership summits, place a special emphasis on exercises that boost self-assurance. You may concentrate on your positive self-talk, study different leadership philosophies, and provide examples of leadership in the workplace.

Other learning chances could concentrate on task-specific knowledge or other soft skills, like empathy or communication, but these encounters can also help you gain confidence as you develop your abilities. Gaining more self-assurance can enable you to take on more responsibility at work and advance in your profession.

3. Increased productivity
Some opportunities for continuous learning put an emphasis on the fundamental duties of your job and show you new approaches to completing them. Industry research generates new techniques that reduce time and costs in a variety of sectors, including manufacturing, technology, and medicine.

Additionally, teams can learn to work more effectively together through leadership summits and other general professional development experiences, which can boost overall productivity. Your ability to complete tasks more quickly and effectively can help you perform better at work.

4. Technological innovation
The development of technology opens up new possibilities and improves job performance in many industries. You can learn how to use new technological tools to boost your productivity and elevate the caliber of your work through ongoing learning experiences.

To teach the staff the fundamentals of database coding, the administrative staff at a hospital, for instance, might host a coding workshop. They can easily troubleshoot minor issues in the medical database with the help of this knowledge, which will save them time and effort.

5. Career guidance
You can meet professionals in your area through some ongoing learning opportunities, such as peer discussion groups and mentorship programs. You can get advice from them for your intended job path. A mentorship program for new nurses, for instance, can assist these professionals in selecting the specialty they wish to pursue. Also, students can discover which certification courses will benefit them the most as they advance their careers. Peer groups can give experts in the same field a forum to discuss problems and possibilities in their field.

6. Leadership development
Participants in many programmes that promote continuous learning have the chance to hone their leadership abilities, which can position them for a senior position on their team. Empathy, communication, and analytical thinking are leadership skills that you can practise in workshops or leadership summits. You might also pick up more sophisticated skills in your specialised field, depending on your industry.

For instance, to get ready to manage shifts at a hospital, nurses would go to a special workshop on staffing and supervision in medical environments.

7. Certification or renewal opportunities
You may be able to complete the requirements for maintaining an existing certification or obtain additional certifications through chances for continuous learning. To prepare for the certification exam or project if this is your first time obtaining certification, you could attend classes or self-study modules.

When it comes time to renew your certification, you may have a few options. On their websites, several certifying organizations list acceptable continuing education courses, which can assist you in choosing a course that complements your schedule and broadens your skill set.

8. Unique opportunities
While some chances for continuous learning happen at your workplace or a distant location, others might require travel and unique activities. These opportunities can enhance your skill set while allowing you to explore a new city or nation.

One opportunity to travel, engage in career-enhancing activities, and forge an international network of colleagues is to attend a global conference for experts in tax law. Your employer may cover your travel and hotel costs if you chair a panel or present research at a conference, making these opportunities more accessible.

9. Job satisfaction
It can be intellectually satisfying to have the chance to broaden your knowledge and enhance your talents, which can improve your job happiness. A variety of professional enrichment opportunities may be made available by managers, who frequently like to have team members who are enthusiastic about their work.

For instance, taking seminars in sociology and family law as a paralegal at a family law company might benefit your work performance and keep your mind sharp.

10. Access to resources
Even after the experience has ended, some continuous learning opportunities provide resources to participants. You might have access to discussion forums, movies, educational materials, or a group of students. For instance, some certifying bodies give professionals who have obtained one of their qualifications access to membership.

Access to social networks, career bulletins, and research databases are frequent benefits of a professional group membership. As you continue to enhance your career, you can consult these resources.

11. Relationship development
While some possibilities for continuous learning are individual-focused, others let you interact socially with your coworkers. Several lifelong learning activities emphasize cooperation and teamwork, which may be great for teams with new members. You might participate in trust-building activities and communication drills in these courses.

Additional alternatives might include group activities and discussion times rather to a solely team-building focus. You can get to know your coworkers through these events, which will improve your ability to work together.

12. Networking opportunities
Meeting other experts in your sector might be facilitated by participating in ongoing learning opportunities within your industry. Making new friends with similar objectives and duties can be facilitated by attending industry conferences, joining professional organizations, and enrolling in certification programs.

These experts may hold jobs that are comparable to yours, and they can serve as a network of support for you as your career progresses. You might even work together on research projects for trade shows or publications, depending on your sector.

Consistency is the key

Consistency is an important part of success in any endeavor, whether it’s in business, sports, academics, or personal development. It’s the foundation of progress and achievement. But how do you stay consistent when it's so easy to become distracted and give up?

Here are a few tips to help you stay consistent and reach your goals:

1. Set Realistic Goals
The most important thing you can do is set realistic goals for yourself. Understand that it takes time and effort to reach them and don’t expect too much too soon. Break down larger goals into smaller, achievable steps and celebrate each accomplishment along the way.

2. Have a Plan
Having a plan is essential for staying consistent. Create a schedule that outlines when and how you’ll tackle each task and stick to it. Make sure your plan is realistic and achievable, taking into account any existing commitments you have.

3. Track Your Progress
Tracking your progress can be a powerful motivator to stay consistent. Keep a log of your progress and review it regularly to stay on track and motivated. Celebrate each milestone you reach as a reminder that your hard work is paying off.

4. Reward Yourself
Make sure to reward yourself for staying consistent with yourself. This could be anything from a night out with friends or even just a few extra hours of sleep. It’s important to recognize the effort you’re putting in so that it doesn’t become a chore.

5. Avoid Perfectionism
It’s easy to become overwhelmed when striving for perfection, which can lead to procrastination, anxiety, and frustration. Instead of pursuing perfection, focus on progress over perfection; strive to make incremental improvements instead of expecting immediate results. Remember that even small steps are still steps in the right direction!

6. Find Support
Find a support system who will help encourage and motivate you to stay consistent. Whether it’s friends, family, mentors, or colleagues – having someone who believes in you can make all the difference in sticking with your goals and staying consistent.

7. Remain Flexible
Sometimes life gets in the way of our plans which can make it difficult to stay consistent. It’s important to be flexible and adjust when necessary without giving up entirely on your goals. Acknowledge that life happens and use it as an opportunity to learn from any mistakes or setbacks you encounter along the way.

Staying consistent isn’t always easy but following these tips can help keep you motivated and on track for success! Keep in mind that consistency takes practice but with time, patience, and perseverance – anything is possible!

Indian Festivals

In India, festivals are a major part of the culture and bring together people of all ages and backgrounds. Every Indian festival has a unique significance and has its own customs, rituals, and traditions that are followed. They provide an opportunity to take a break from the monotony of daily life and celebrate with family and friends.

India is undoubtedly the land of festivals where each state has its own set of festivals that are celebrated with much enthusiasm. Whether it’s the grand Diwali or Holi, the festival of colors, or the harvest festival of Pongal, these festivals infuse a sense of joy and happiness in the air.

One of the most popular festivals in India is Diwali, also known as the “festival of lights”. It is celebrated to commemorate the victory of good over evil and brings joy and prosperity to people across the country. Diwali marks new beginnings and is celebrated by lighting diyas (lamps) in homes and decorating them with colorful Rangoli designs. On this day, people exchange gifts and sweets with their loved ones as a gesture of goodwill. Diwali is also associated with Lakshmi Puja which is performed to invoke prosperity and wealth.

Holi is another popular Indian festival that brings out the best in people. This festival is celebrated to welcome the new season of spring with much enthusiasm and joy. On this day, people play with colors, water balloons, flowers, and sweets. It is also marked by singing and dancing on traditional folk songs. The tradition of Holi also includes making sweets like gujiyas which are later consumed by all who come together to celebrate this festival.

Krishna Janmashtami or Janmashtami marks the birth of Lord Krishna and is celebrated every year on the eight day of the Hindu month Bhadrapada. People sing devotional songs all night long to welcome Lord Krishna who is believed to have taken birth in Mathura on this day. Temples across the country come alive with special decorations and pujas (rituals) are performed throughout the day.

Navratri is one of the most significant Hindu festivals in India which marks the victory of good over evil. It is celebrated over nine days during which nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped each day with fervor and devotion. During these nine days, devotees observe fasts and perform rituals in honor of Goddess Durga. People come together to dance on Garba songs which keep them energized throughout the night.

Apart from these popular festivals, there are many other regional festivals that are celebrated throughout India such as Onam in Kerala, Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra, Bihu in Assam and Pongal in Tamil Nadu. All these festivals bring out a unique flavor that is reflective of the culture and traditions associated with each region.

Festivals in India not only add colors to our lives but also bring us closer to our families and friends. They help us connect with our roots which have been passed down from generations before us and provide us an opportunity to celebrate life in all its glory!
